Despite having flown on commercial airliners since I was a toddler, I’ve never gotten over the magic of the experience. This is why, to this day it’s strange to me how anyone would want to watch movies when they’re in a metal tube, literally flying at hundreds of miles per hour, tens of thousands of feet in the air, in and above actual clouds. What the airlines should do is both make the windows bigger, technically feasible now, and put viewing windows above– and particularly below, so we can see the world whiz past beneath our feet. If anyone still wants to watch a movie compared to that…their citizenship should be immediately revoked upon landing.
